Gift Tag Challenge in the Moxie Fab World

Hello,

Today I have a tag  I created for the Gift Tag Challenge in the Moxie Fab World . The challenge is to Create a paper crafted tag that you could attach to a gift.  Perfect timing for me since I just got this adorable knitting stamp from Lockhart Stamp Company to use for a friends Birthday next week.:)

Using a tag die from Papertrey Ink, I cut the tag from my 6x6 Cosmo Cricket paper pad Baby Jane.

The image is colored using Copic markers and I finished off the tag with red organdy ribbon and ric rack from my stash.

Card Set Challenge Moxie Fab World

Hi there~

Today I created a project for the Card Set Challenge in the Moxie Fab World. The challenge was to Create a coordinated paper crafted card set (3 or 4 cards) and matching container that you could give as a gift.

I used paper from Simple Stories Summer Fresh 6x6 paper pad along with stamps from Papertrey Ink to create this fun gift set complete with a matching paper bag envelope.

Cool Shades Challenge

Hello there~

I'm back today to play along with the girls on the Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge Blog!

This week was a color challenge, so much fun.  I used the Paper Smooches stamp set "Get Outta Town", perfect for those summer trips coming up, and all the yummy tropical summertime treats :) 

I stamped the flower in kraft colored ink to create a fun background and then used my cuttle bug swiss dots folder to add texture.  The drinks are stamped and colored then I cut them out and mounted them with dimensional tape.

Swiss Pixies Happy Birthday Card

Hi there~

Today I'm sharing a birthday card I made using this cute stamp from C.C. Designs.  I just love the Swiss Pixies, they are so much fun to color with my Copic markers. :)

Happy Friday to you!!

Today I have a project to share with you.  I have seen around blog land a few people re purposing chipboard pieces and thought I would give it a try.

OK be honest here..how many of you have a stash similar to this?? I'm not proud of it but I am a bit of a hoarder with my paper crafting supplies. hehe So many times this basket of chipboard has almost made it into recycling bin, but see saving stuff sometimes pays off. LOL 

First I chose a few pieces and painted them with white craft paint. It took two coats to cover the designs.

When they were dry, I inked the edges using a sponge and Distress Ink.

I wanted them to sparkle so I pushed them into my glue pad to get them nice and sticky, then sprinkled my favorite glitter on them.

Ta Da.. I liked them so much I made a few more, this time I painted them blue and red before adding the glitter.

Here is a shot of the supplies I used.

They are just waiting to be used on a project soon. :)

My first knit blanket!!

Hi there~

Thank you for visiting me today :)

I finally finished my first knitted throw last week! I am so pleased with how it turned out. I only learned to knit a few months ago with my first project being a dish cloth, that was terrible by the way. LOL But, I did not give up and since then have knitted a couple hats and scarves that I gave away before taking a picture of them..I know, I need to get better at that hehe.

Congratulations Graduate Card

Hi there~

With graduation season upon us I thought I would create a few cards to have on hand for when those announcements start rolling in.  I grabbed some cute paper with caps on it (not sure where that came from, it has been in my stash so long hehe)  The stamps are an old set from  my Close To My Heart days. :)  I colored the hat using my Copic markers and added a bit of Glossy 

Accents to give it some shine and dimension.  It will be nice to be able to just grab one and stick a stamp on it later this month.

Happy Mothers Day set

Hi there~

Mothers Day is only a week away so I am creating a few cards and tags for those special women in my life.  I love to celebrate all the Mothers I know because it is such a wonderful, special, sometimes difficult job. 

 I have had a couple of big "mom" moments in last few months that have helped me to realize just what a blessing be a mother is.  I thought it was hard when they were toddlers, demanding and making messes.  No one warned me about weddings, empty nest and having adult children LOL 

As I enter this next chapter of my life I hope I can do so with love and grace, and lots of time for crafting hehe!

Sweet Birthday Card and Tag Set

I created this card and tag using the stamp set Strawberry Patch from Papertrey, so fun.

Wow, its been awhile!

Hi there~

I'm still here ;)  I can't believe how long it has been since my last post. We have had a crazy couple of months here.  My youngest son got married last weekend, that is him and I in the picture above.  It was a beautiful evening but I must say, pretty stressful. With that all behind me I plan to dedicate more time to crafting and blogging. Thank you for those that stuck with me.
