New Halloween Pillow Tucks!

Hi there~ It's been busy around here lately..isn't it funny how it just creeps up when you least expect it? I had my whole week planned out last week and not one thing went as planned. hehe

I spent a whole afternoon with my youngest son (he's 21) in the ER just to find out he just had a sore throat..ugh!  His fever spiked and the nurse at the clinic told us to get him to the ER right away.  Anyway, I am happy that is all it was and he is better this week and back to work. 

I thought I would share some Halloween tucks I have been working on.

A Sweet Gift from a New Friend

My sweet new blogging friend Linda sent me this cutie pie pin keep last month, I got it right before I left for Florida. Isn't it so great, I just L O V E it!!!! I kept meaning to photograph..here it sits on a shelf in my entry....Thank you soooo much Linda, you are such a sweet soul. :-)

Prim Pumpkins from Raggedy Angie!!

I'm a super happy girl today! I ordered these adorable pumpkins from Angie last week and they came over the weekend!!!  Thank you soooo much Angie I LOVE THEM!  They are all cinnamony and everything....ahhh.  I can't wait to put them out.  I'm thinkin my Fall stuff is coming out Sept. 1st!

Oh, and not only did I receive these, she included this adorable lady bug, so sweet, and a handwritten note! ( that I pinned on my cork board to remind me of your friendship :))

Here is the ladybug tucked in my little tree I have by my front door, aren't lady bugs good luck?  yippee!

I am having a blast getting to know all my new blogging friends!

Addicted......

Don't worry, it's nothing bad hehe.  Well I guess it could be considered bad since I spent two days just sitting at the computer looking at.....Pinterest!  Last week after posting on sweet Amy's post at Bumble Be Lane, I received not one but two invites to join the fun on Pinterest (thank you ladies).  I'm not to sure why you need and invite, but if you want one just let me know and I'll send you one. I just love it, my hubby asked me "so what's the point of this?"  Well I'm not to sure but it's fun.  haha I like that you can store inspirational photos in one spot and they link back to the original, which is nice to give people credit and it is great for recipes!!  You can even link your photos from your own blog or Etsy store to share with others.
Just thought I would share what I have been up to, actually I did good over the weekend by working on fall goodies instead of spending the day at the computer LOL

Heat Advisory...again?

I know, you would think living in Arizona my entire life I would be used to it...but really you don't. :)  We are under another heat advisory today and tomorrow, they are predicting 112 today, yuck.  But its a dry heat right?? Well the oven is also a dry heat LOL.

Summer Stitchen'

Hi there!

Well this week is all about back to school..we have shopping to do and on Friday is registration.  My little girl will be a big sophomore this year..yikes! Where does the time go?

Just wanted to stop in and share some summer time stitcheries today.

I got this pattern from Primitive Stitches, and made a few pillow hangers using this pattern but I forgot to photograph them...story of my life LOL

Hope you all are staying cool out there! I know for us here in the desert we stay inside as much as possible and run errands in the mornings. But not today, ugh, I am taking my daughter to an apt at 3,the hottest part of the day. :)

 I love using the vintage style papers that are so in right now.

The ribbon I dyed myself, turning my hands yellow by the way lol

Packaging is just as important right, so the cards come in a glass tine bag with a cute paper flower on the front.

Seasonal Saltbox houses

Hi there~

I am home, settling back into the routine of things..you know laundry, cleaning, etc..

Here is a box I painted a few weeks ago using a pattern by Terrye French.

I just love saltbox houses, so this was fun to dust off my paint brushes and create a seasonal box I can leave out all year.

Sweet Sixteen :)

Hi there~

Last weekend my littlest chickadee turned 16, ya I cried a little~in private of course hehe!

How fast time flies, seems like just yesterday she was into Polly Pockets and Barbies :(

It is such a blessing to watch her grow up, although as a mom I have to admit sometimes I miss that little girl (but then I remember diapers, and all that stuff, umm I think I like this age LOL)

Yoyo Flower Tablerunner

Happy Tuesday~

Hope you all had a wonderful holiday weekend, we had a nice *hot* weekend here.

We went for a bbq and swimming at my sisters on Sunday and right when we sat down to eat we were hit with a wonderful AZ dust storm. But like all our dust storms, it was short lived. :)

Last night we had a quiet dinner at home and heard the fireworks hehe

Here is a table runner I made this spring with fabric yo yo's for flowers.
