Still here......

Hi friends!
I am still here, just busy :)  So, son #2 got the keys to his house on Friday night so that meant we cleaned all day on Saturday...boy did my back hurt the next morning.  Then on Sunday he made the big move. Hubby kept me busy all day with shopping and stuff so I wouldn't be here to see them carry his stuff out.  But of course we came home just in time to see them load his bed, I lost it...this is much harder than I thought, but that was just the beginning.  Yesterday I spent the entire day painting his room....oh wow, that's when it hit me like a ton of bricks I didn't expect.  So I cried, painted, cried, painted...you get the idea hehe.
I am feeling better today, I guess it is just something I needed to do :) I miss his face every morning at the table, but he didn't move to far thank goodness.  I have never been very good with change, and being that I have been a stay at home mom for 25 years, I think the empty nest is super hard.  Son #1 is still here, and of course the princess for a few more years. Hopefully he takes a little time so this mom can recover LOL
If you are still here, thank you for letting me cry here. I will be back with the room makeover pictures soon, see we have family coming in for Thanksgiving so to time to waste, I have to get a guest room ready.  As of tonight, I have the painting finished and hubby is upstairs cleaning the carpet.  The bed comes Monday and I have the bedding ordered.  I can't wait to share.  I am also busy with projects for our craft fair the weekend before Thanksgiving, so I will share that soon to.
Thanks again for your friendships :)
Big hugs~Stacy Pin It

Awwww....Sweetie - that must be so, so, hard....I only have one - but he's my one and only - I'm blessed he's still home with us - don't think I'll handle it well either when he leaves the nest.....Take good care - probably a good thing you have things to do to keep busy....Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin

Awh, hang in there kiddo! We've been empty nesters for a long time now and I still have a hard time now and again. When things are so quiet for to long of a time I wish for the days back when they would be coming home with friends and looking for home baked goodies, etc. All I can tell you Stacy is this is another chapter in our lives and though you have some time left with your other kiddo's when the time comes you will adjust. For now cherish every moment.
Will look for pictures of the make over.
hugz,
Sheila
